Pronouns: He/Him
Race: Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te
Age: 24
Nameday: 25th Sun, 4th Umbral Moon
Birthplace: Sagolii Desert

U'mizu stands relatively tall compared to his fellow Miqo'te standing at 5"8 (172 cm). U'mizu found success on the battlefield and the stage with his lithe frame and toned body. He has spent most of his life with the U tribe of the Forgotten Springs which lightened specific parts of his hair. These sections turned a paler pink and U'mi has now incorporated them into his appearance as natural highlights. Through his many years of adventuring, U'mizu has accrued a number of scars. Some are from battles hard-won, and others are from more embarrassing expeditions.U'mizu's sense of fashion is rather characteristic of a dancer. He prefers clothing that is easy to wear, light, and fashionable. He takes great care to ensure that his wardrobe matches all of those criteria. His attire ranges from more modest to striking and seductive. One of his favorite hobbies is people-watching and gathering ideas for new ensembles. This has gotten him into trouble as people assume that he's looking at them for... other purposes.
On his adventures, U'mizu has found a small companion in the shape of a bat. It seems tame enough and seemingly matches his aesthetics, so he keeps it around. He keeps it safe during combat by allowing it to take refuge in a number of safety pockets on his person.

Born under the desert heat, U'mizu Tia was an only child with only his mother to raise him. Unfortunately, U'mizu never had the opportunity to meet his father, yet U'odh Nunh raised him as his own. Following in the Nunh's footsteps, U'mizu would train under the grueling conditions of the Sagolii Desert before becoming a mercenary. This environment fostered his success in exploration and hand-to-hand combat. His efforts were needed on the battlefield of the encroaching threat of the Garlean Empire, and so U'mizu fled from the U tribe to assist the efforts in Ala Mhigo. He knew his role was to assist those around him and ensure their safety, but he feared that the others in his clan would not share this sentiment. He worked closely with the refugees from Ala Mhigo and empathized with their plight. He gained a better understanding of how the world worked around him; he listened to the stories that others had to tell, and he began to appreciate and cherish the lives of the people he met. It wasn't until he was attacked by a group of Garlean soldiers. He was unprepared and afraid that the refugees would get hurt, so he urged the refugees to go on without him. His plan worked, for the most part. The refugees managed to escape, but he was gravely injured and on the brink of death. Wandering the unknown terrain U'mizu would collapse from exhaustion, and be seemingly ready to accept his death before being found by another Seeker. Trying, and failing to fight back, U'mizu was nursed back to health by this unknown figure. To the young Seeker, something felt familiar while in his presence. The stranger's name was R'hune, and after many weeks U'mizu was ready to continue his journey. Though, he never forgot the kindness R'hune had shown him; he vowed to offer that same kindness to others.Throughout his journey to Gridania, U'mizu would often find himself alone and thinking of the warm sands of his home. The woods were no home to him, but he knew that he would have to brave new lands if he wanted to see his village once again. One comfort he found on his journey was the stories that others had to share. These stories had a purpose whether they were for comfort, reassurance, or merely entertainment. Despite these comforts, U'mizu was unable to find a hearth or home within the Black Shroud. so the young wanderer would be forced to move south back home. After months of travel, U'mizu was finally reunited with his family and friends. Their words fell on deaf ears as the young Seeker collapsed from exhaustion. This rest would be short-lived as the Seventh Umbral Calamity occurred. U'mizu assisted his clan and the Immortal Flames in preparation for the incoming disaster. Exposure to this level of violence would change anyone; U'mizu found himself changed afterward. There were so many lives lost, so many stories untold, and so much misery and despair. After the calamity, U'mizu informed his village that he would be leaving once again. There was too much out there in the world not to explore and learn about. Despite his fears, he was met with support for his decision and would set off for Limsa Lominsa. There he would find the answer to his problems. An art form that is a combination of martial prowess, and storytelling, and could assist the lives of others. U'mizu would find the art of the dancer. With tutelage from Nashmeira and a newfound friendship with Ranaa Mhigo, U'mizu would continue on his adventures mastering the Kriegstanz. Now, the young dancer can be found traveling from location to location in the search for new adventures and stories to tell. He finds himself helping those in need of relief. Everyone has a story to tell, something that drives them, and U'mizu is more than happy to listen.

U'mizu is fairly carefree and up for any form of adventure! Here are just a few ways to interact with him:Do you want to share a tale or two? - U'mizu is always ready to hear an exciting story from his fellow adventurers. Whether they are filled with action or more somber in tone, he is always willing to lend an ear.In need of an adventuring partner? - Treasure hunting is the name of the game, and nothing catches U'mi's eye more than glitter and gold! It's not about the prize itself, but about the journey to get there. Should you need a companion, he is willing to help.

OOC Notes:
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to read this far. I really appreciate it.
FFXIV is my first MMORPG, so I'm incredibly new to the RP community. Please forgive me for any mistakes I might make!
Despite U'mizu being rather outgoing and carefree his player is not. I am rather shy and awkward at first, but maybe you'll find that endearing and lean into that!
Overall, I appreciate character-centered stories and would love to create stories with anyone interested!Disclaimer: I will not tolerate any non-consensual acts directed toward my character. If you want to do something specific, please ask me before hand!
